We who look for adventure everywhere
We're not your enemies
We want to give you vast and strange domains
Where mystery in flower spreads out for those who would pluck it
There you may find new fires colors you have never seen before
A thousand imponderable phantasms
Still awaiting reality
[…]
Pity us who fight always at the boundaries
Of infinity and the future

Public Issue #7: Art for All II
The new work of Artemis Potamianou called “Art for All II” will be on the streets of central Athens on Thursday the 26th.
The objectives of the art work “Art for All II” are the relationship of the artistic object with reality and the artist’s role in the definition of the work of art, the viewer’s role in the interactive process of its viewing and recognition as such.
Images of known art works, accompanied with quotations-definitions of what art is, converted into cachets that transfer their message within the city in the easiest way.
The artistic intervention in the urban environment crosses the fine line between legitimacy and illegitimacy, since viewing the art object is not chosen, but rather imposed upon the viewer. On the other hand, the viewer is invited to take an active role and to discover these small-size projects and not just pass by them, as it happens with the rest of the continual visual information daily received.
The artistic object, becames an ephemeral action as the most actions in the urban landscape. Deprived of its uniqueness through constant repetition, it is differentiated in form depending on the wall material.
